Leadership Agility – Going to the next level

Bill Joiner

Agile leadership is essential for Agile transformations. But what does it mean for leaders to “be” Agile? This presentation will explore three levels of being agile based on Bill Joiner’s award-winning book, Leadership Agility. You’ll discover why sustainable leadership agility requires not only the adoption of an Agile mindset, but also the development of certain cognitive and emotional capacities.

You’ll find why the Expert level of agility drives managers into command-and-control, why progression to the Achiever level is fundamental for creating a more agile culture, and how the Catalyst level, practiced by only 10% of leaders, is needed to realize the full spirit of Agile.

Through a case-study using audio clips, Bill will guide you through the three levels, help you identify where you are, and clarify what it looks like to go to the next level. He will also share methods he uses to facilitate development of higher levels of agility in leaders, teams, and organizations.
