Seán González has been serving on the board of directors of Agile New England since 2019, and is currently the chapter Secretary. He is the founder of AIBizAgility and the creator of its Agile4AI platform, a structured approach to human-AI collaboration that is grounded in Agile values, principles and practices. Rather than simply advocating for AI adoption as an enabling tool, he is doing the hands-on work of defining safe, practical patterns for collaboration between people and AI across Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid environments, with the goal of delivering the highest-fidelity, highest-value outcomes from that collaboration. He is also writing a book that connects Agile, ancient philosophy, and AI safety, making the case that Agile culture is a mission-critical component of the foundation for integrating AI into the workplace safely and responsibly.
That work rests on deep, well-established Agile expertise. Seán is a Senior Lean/Agile Enterprise Coach with over 18 years of experience, having grown through every level of Agile delivery, from Scrum Master and Product Owner to enterprise-wide coaching in large, regulated corporations. As a former IT Director he led infrastructure and application delivery teams through multiple data center buildouts to provide secure, highly available services, and as a longtime educator he has spent more than 30 years in teaching roles, authored 40-plus IT articles in top trade magazines, and developed multiple Lean/Agile training courses.
Some of his most rewarding work has been carrying Lean/Agile values, principles and practices beyond IT and into non-profit and social-services settings, with notable success. His coaching style is highly situational and draws on mindfulness and other mind-training techniques. He believes in empowering teams to find their own answers through continuous introspection and careful, watchful analysis of their actions, within a safe-to-fail culture that rewards courageous innovation.
He also brings more than two decades of non-profit governance to this candidacy, having served on the Boards of three other organizations over 20 years. That experience demonstrates his stewardship of mission-driven communities through change.
